Club Penguin Blog: Igloos Coming to My Penguin on iPad

What's up everyone? Spike Hike recently updated the Club Penguin Blog with some exciting news involving the iPad app, My Penguin! Check it out

Hey Penguins!
Last week we revealed the epic news that My Penguin 1.2 is coming to iPad, with all-new 3D penguin avatars! Of course, penguins need a place to hang out... and what better place to hang out than your iggy? That's right, igloos are coming to the next version of My Penguin!!

Here's how it works: when you log into My Penguin on iPad, you'll see your igloo as it appears on clubpenguin.com. Re-decorating your igloo in My Penguin is super-fast, too -- thanks to an all-new touch interface that takes full advantage of the iPad! When you save your iggy design, it will appear on clubpenguin.com as well. Pretty cool, eh?

Just like on clubpenguin.com, you can invite your friends to check out your igloo or visit theirs. My Penguin has a brand new interface that lets you see a preview of igloos for easy browsing. It will make it so much faster to find igloo parties!
For those interested in our technology, My Penguin uses entirely new tech that will be the future foundation of Club Penguin. Servers will work a little differently. Instead of logging into a server, we will take you directly to the igloo you want to go to. If the iggy gets full, we will spin up another version of that igloo so that more people can join. This will be really handy for the most popular iggys. Now if we only had a jump feature... :-)
Waddle On!!
Awesome idea! I think Club Penguin is working super hard on the My Penguin app and it's starting to become amazing! It sounds like My Penguin 1.2 will be a big update with 3D sprites coming along, Jetpack Boost launching, and igloos! I can't wait for My Penguin 1.2, can you? Comment below to let me know!
Waddle on!

Club Penguin's Penguin of the Day: SeaMaster495

Hey Penguins! It's me Oil999, CPGuide's new author. Right now my job is to post all POTD posts from Club Penguin's blog only until Luke who used to post them comes back! Once he's back, I'll become a normal author and post everything I can. Enough about me for now.

Right after Daffodaily5 announced her UK Magazine Party a few minutes ago, she decided to pick and feature another penguin as today's Penguin Of The Day for doing some great activities to help their friends and for being nice to others!
Hiya!
When someone’s igloo needs more likes, SeaMaster495 turns up with a bunch of friends to give the likes a boost! Looks like he’s redesigning his own igloo right now... I wonder what it will be?

Contact us to nominate someone for Penguin of the Day!
Byeee!
-Club Penguin Team
So, SeaMaster495 got today's POTD rank for helping others who need more igloo likes by liking it himself and many of his friends, and for designing his own igloos in a cool way! He is also designing a new igloo right the second Daffodaily5 took a picture of his igloo. What do you think of my first post on CP Guide.net? Tell me your thoughts by leaving a comment in the comments section below. Looking forward to hear from y'all!

Club Penguin Blog: Featured Igloos: March 17th

Hey penguins. While I was browsing through the Club Penguin Blog today, I noticed Club Penguin moderator, Chattabox, made a new post. Her post is showing us some igloos she chose to feature on the blog. Check it out-

Hey there Penguin Pals!

This month’s igloo nominations were the most colourful I’ve seen! For todays featured igloos blog, I found not three, but FOUR beautiful igloos that I just had to share with all my feathered friends! Check out all these puffle-tastic igloos below:

I stumbled upon Riyita’s igloo whilst online this week and was instantly impressed with the amount of detail and thought put into this lovely Puffle Day Care Centre. So bright and colourful, if I were a puffle, I’d want to visit all the time! smiley

Sunshine6774 said: “I think Cutie24pie’s igloo should be featured, because it has an area for each different type of puffle and it even has room for a puffle walk way! Check it out!”

Katty017 said: “Hello CP, I hope you could look at my best friend’s igloo Narcissak99. It is really amazing with a puffle salon, chill out zone, puffle hanging lanterns, puffle music, disco floor and puffle feeding area! She has a great artistic flare!”

Sylvia35 said: "Cool igloos gyus! I think my friend Sylvie32 should be shown! It’s an epic igloo for puffles! It has puffle beds for all the puffles (20 different types- Sylvie32 is puffle-mad!) and puffle houses for all the puffles and all the puffles toys and a puffle cannon in the middle. It has a puffle bean bag (with the puffle pattern on- naturally) and 2 puffle chairs and some puffle guards at the entrance. You should seriously check it out! Sylvie32 doesn’t have many likes, because no one comes to her igloo. Anyone who goes there is guaranteed to like it. (Her clothes are also covered in puffles)."

I'd like to thank everyone for all the awesome nominations sent through this week! It’s really got me so excited and looking forward to the Puffle Party starting this week! Also, I thought I'd do things a little differently, so for next week I’d love to hear why you thinkyour own igloo design (whatever it may be!) should be featured in our next blog. Let us know in the comments below and keep a look out for our next featured igloos blog- you’re igloo could be in it!

All of these igloos are sweet! Chattabox's theme she chose for the featured igloos is very reasonable considering the Puffle Party is about 3 days away. I like Narcissak99's igloo the best because she brings a rainbow feel to her igloo celebrating the rainbow puffle, and it really pops out at you! Whose igloo do you like best? Comment and let me know!

Club Penguin Blog: Featured Igloos February 17th

While I was looking through the Club Penguin blog today, I noticed Chattabox made a new post. The post is showing some epic Chinese new year inspired igloos! I'm sure Sensei would be proud.

Hi there penguin buddies!

This month’s igloo nominations were truly AMAZING! I’m just glad I was able to narrow down my list of favourites to the three wonderful Chinese New Year inspired igloos below:

Ninja53 said: "Clover7373 has an awesome Dojo igloo! It has a fire on the left, water on the right and snow in the middle! There are pillows at each so you can pretend to be Sensei of the element, but I prefer to be the fire ninja over water, or snow. Of course, I usually just visit to play card-jitsu on Clover7373’s card-jitsu mats. Waddle On!

Penny9265 said: "Check out Hiccup659’s Chinese Restaurant igloo, or P197601441’s iggy, or Season124’s pop stage. Waddle On, Penny9265.”

Polo Hunter8: "WHOA! These igloos are soooooo EPIC! And I do know a penguin (her name is Sikorka2000) that has a Chinese-like igloo. It is an igloo which looks like the Fire AND Water Dojos being COMBINED! Each of them has also a veryyy special mascot… Two of the THREE HYDRAS FROM THE MEDIEVAL PARTY OF COURSE! And like the Dojo, it is located on the Highest Mountain.”

Looking through all the nominations from this past month, I now feel inspired to do some redecorating myself! Seeing as the Hollywood Party is now in full swing, I was thinking it’d be great to see some Hollywood themed igloos! So if you know a friend who has a Hollywood inspired igloo filled with lots of glitz and glam, let us know their penguin name and why you think their igloo should be featured in the comments below. Check back to see which igloos we choose next!

Waddle On! cool
-Club Penguin Team

Again, everyone did an awesome job! In my opinion, Sikorka2000 has the best igloo because it shows how each element is really different. Fire is rough while water is relaxing and peaceful. When Card-Jitsu Snow is released, Sikora2000 might wanna change her igloo to show all three elements!  Whose igloo do you like best? Why? Leave a comment and let us know!

Chockie432 said: Iceboy3818 has an awesome amusement park Iggy! There’s a rollercoaster going between lava into blue fire, a haunted house, a kingdom, candy apples and a swim pool with waterfalls and Rockhopper’s ship! Also, there is a colourful place to buy your tickets! It is amazing and so much fun! You gotta check it out!”

Knuckles8100 said: “You should check Shuttle8’s Jurassic Park. It’s really awesome. I think it looks like a Club Penguin room for the Prehistoric party!”

Macks1 said: “Great igloos!! I think you should check out my friend Sky Sky26’s igloo! It’s a really neat Theme Park! I think you guys would like it!”

All the nominated igloos were SO much fun to visit! I had such a blast picking my favourites to share with you all! Now, I don’t know how many of you know this already, but Chinese New Year is right around the corner and to celebrate we would love to see some Chinese New Year inspired igloos! So bring out the Dojo igloos and the Card-Jitsu mats to help us celebrate! If you know someone that has a fabulous Chinese New Year igloo, let us know their penguin name and why you think their igloo should be featured in the comments below. Stay tuned to see which igloos we pick next!

Those are some sweet igloos! In my opinion, I like Shuttle8's igloo the best because it looks like a really epic out door restaurant to eat at. Hopefully we will see some more awesome igloos soon. What do you think of these igloos featured in the post? Leave a comment and tell us.

Hey there penguin pals!

The Prehistoric Party is well under way and I have to say I was SO impressed with this month’s igloo nominations! There were so many awesome Prehistoric themed igloos to choose from, I somehow finally managed to pick three of my favourites- it wasn’t easy! Check them out below:

Reuben7862 said: “You should check out my friend, Guitar Man 9’s iggy. His iggy is a tiki’s hut built on an island filled with lava pools and native animals.”

Liberty1111 said: “I think you should really check out Troyella’s Tiki Playground igloo. It is so cool and really creative! Tiki penguins should really check it out. Waddle On!”

Hippykid24 said: “Awesome igloos! I was looking for something to do when I found Peace6179’s igloo. It looks REALLY good and is perfect for the prehistoric party theme.”

Talk about going back in time! Those igloos were truly dino-rific! Now for something a little different, we’d love to see some Theme Park inspired igloos! So get your roller coaster rolling and your popcorn popping for a chance to have your igloo appear on our next featured igloos blog. If you know a friend that has a fun-tastic Theme Park igloo, be sure to let us know their penguin name in the comments below.

Until then- Waddle On! laugh

Those are some neat igloos! I like Peace6179's igloo the best because it really has a strong prehistoric feel to it, like Chattabox said. What do you think about these three featured igloos? Leave a comment and tell us your thoughts.

We’ll pick some of our dino-rific favourites and post them in our next Featured Igloos blog.

Until then- Waddle On! laugh

These are some nice igloos! All of them are great, but personally, I like Purflipper's the best, that giant tree is awesome! Along with that he has a cool river. In fact, I think all of  these are epic, really! What do you think of these igloos? Who's do you like best? Leave a comment and let us know.
