Club Penguin Monsters University: Scare Games Victory Party BUG

After some fierce scaring and hard work, Team OK has won the Scare Games. Team OK's yellow and green decorations are up at the Victory Party, along with the OK banners. The Club Penguin Blogger that represented Team OK was Polo Field. Check out the party:

Wait.. Where are the decorations? This is a bug. To fix this, play one round of the Scare Games, or refresh the page and log in to the same penguin again.

Ah- There we go! However, if you leave and come back again, the decorations will disappear. Congratulations Team OK, you have won by almost 2 million points.

By waddling over to the giant silver trophy near the bottom left, you can obtain the Scare Games Trophy. This trophy is for all players, even if you were on a different team. Click "Yes" on the pop-up screen if you would like to obtain the item. By going to the hand item section in your inventory, you should find the Scare Games Trophy. Sadly, no special abilities are enabled when you dance or wave with the item equipped.

Once again, congratulations Team OK! You did an awesome job.

Club Penguin Monsters University Takeover: New Scare Games Items (7/2/13)

What's up penguins? Today, a brand new set of party catalog items have been released. These items are pretty scary - why don't you check it out?

The new items include: Yellow Monster Wings, Hardscrabble's Wings, Hardscrabble Mask, Brock Mask, Brock Costume, Hardscrabble Costume

I feel like Club Penguin really put a lot of hard work making these costumes. They look neat and professional, would you agree? As you all know, to obtain these costumes, you need to earn yourself  "Scare Points." To earn Scare Points, you need to play the Scare Games by clicking "Play Scare Games" at the top of the screen. Club Penguin Monsters University Takeover: New Scare Games Items (7/1/13)

Hey everyone! Today (7/1/13), the newest page in the Scare Games rewards catalog has been released. There are some scare-tastic items! Check them out-

The new items include: One Eye CDA Mask (100 pts), Three Eye CDA Mask (100 pts), Art Costume (300 pts), Squishy's Mom Mask (100 pts), Squishy's Mom Costume (200 pts), and the Items for Everyone (100 pts)

So far I've been impressed with the costumes Club Penguin has released. The rooms and Scare Games mini-game are both really awesome too. That being said, I think the Monsters University Takeover is one of my favorite parties so far this year.

Club Penguin Monsters University Takeover Party Cheats

This is a sticky post. All new posts will be below this one.

The Monsters University Takeover has begun! Are you ready to scare? There is a lot to cover so continue reading for your Monsters University Takeover cheats.

When you log on to Club Penguin, a message should appear asking you which sorority or fraternity you would like to join. The options are: OK, ROR, JOX, or PNK. Don't worry, you can change teams. By joining a fraternity or sorority you receive their hat.

Your scary adventure begins at the gates of Monsters University, the Snow Forts. Once through the gates, to your left is an orientation hall and your right will take you to the Scare Games.

When you go to your right, you can join the Scare Games. Waddle over to the bedroom with the sign saying "Scare Challenge" to play.

Once you are at the bedroom, the image directly below this should appear. It will ask you which team you would like to play for.

After you choose a team, you are in the Scare Games. When you play the Scare Games, you earn points for your sorority or fraternity which can be used to redeem items. The Scare Games is a mini-game where you move around using the arrow keys to avoid obstacles and reach the bed. At the top right you should see a timer and a penguin, at the top left you have your three lives.  If time runs out you will lose a life. By hitting the obstacles, you will slightly wake the penguin and lose time. 

Once at the edge of the bed, step on the red square. To scare the penguin, there's a game similar to Stacker. You want to perfectly time your scare, so press the spacebar when you think it's in green. The closer you are to the middle, the more points you earn. Once you complete that level, you move on to a new bedroom.

After you've earned enough points, you can click the Scare-o-Meter at the top right of the room underneath the Moderator Badge. This will bring you to a screen where you can redeem items using your scare points. Each day of the party, new items will be obtainable.

In between the Plaza and Snow Forts, there is a room with all the sorority and fraternity houses. From left to right there is, OK, JOX, ROR, and PNK.

There are also six new emoticons for the party.

Wow, I think Club Penguin did an excellent job on the Monsters University Takeover. I really like the new rooms and overall, I'm having a fun time.

Club Penguin Times Issue #401

Club Penguin Times Issue #401 is hot of the press. This week's newspaper is all about the Monsters University Takeover. Check it out-

The main article is entitled "Let The Games Begin!". It summary, it explains that this is the first Scare Games. The reporter interviewed some penguins, and it sounds like everyone is pretty excited.

The second article, "Team Tryouts" is about the four competing teams. If you are having trouble choosing your team, this post will help you. It will explain which monsters fit into which team.

Lastly, there is the Upcoming Events. New fashion in the Penguin Style and featured postcards will be released on July 11. On July 18, there will be new igloo furniture. Make sure to find the new pin before July 11! And the winner of the first ever Scare Games will be announced on July 6th.

That pretty much sums up Club Penguin Times Issue #401. Make sure to compete in the scare games for your team. The winning team will be rewarded with a giant, shiny, trophy!

Club Penguin Videos: Monsters University Takeover Sneak Peek

Club Penguin has just uploaded a new sneak peak video of Monsters University. In the past few days, commercials have been airing and information has been revealed, all about the upcoming Club Penguin Monsters University Takeover. This new video gives us a glimpse of gameplay during the party. Check it out-


The video takes us into the Monsters University and shows us the sorority and fraternities on this scary campus. Unfortunately, all features shown in the video are only for penguins with paid membership. Members will be able to scare innocent penguins around the island. By scaring penguins you will earn points on the Scare-O-Meter.

Club Penguin Blog: Scare Games Sneaking Up Fast!

Hey penguins! I was browsing though the Club Penguin Blog today, and I saw that there was a new post made by Polo Field. In his post, we can pick out some new info about the upcoming Scare Games! Check it!

I hope you're all as excited as I am for the upcoming scare games! Here's an update from the Club Penguin Times on what you can do to prepare your scare tactics.
To earn scare points, you'll play a sneaky scaring mini game. And you'll want to use your loudest, scariest scare! Just be careful not to get scared in the process.
There will be items for everyone. And members will get to use their scare points to purchase even more monster wear!
As rival teams scare each other for the win, new costumes will be unlocked!

So it seems during the Scare Games we'll be able to play a mini game that earns us "Scare Points." With those Scare Points, we can (members) purchase more monster wear! Here's another cool thing - when we beat other rival teams, more costumes will be unlocked! Wow. That short little post got me even more excited for the Monsters University Takeover. Club Penguin Times Issue #399

Hey penguins! A new Club Penguin Times has arrived for the week! Lots of events are occurring around the island; you may want to take a look-

 Again, our main topic this week is the Scare Games. As time goes on, penguins are becoming more and more excited for the Scare Games. I can tell you one thing - I'm excited too! There's still some waiting time left (about 2 weeks), but it'll all be worth it in the end.

In the article below, Aunt Arctic mentions a recent tour she took. She focuses on what the tour guide said about the Forest and the Cove. This really has nothing to do with the news around the island, but all of the things the tour guide said are true! Take a look-

Last week we showed you the official trailer for the Disney/Pixar Monsters University Takeover! At Club Penguin's first ever Scare Games, you'll get to join a scare team - just like the ones in the Monsters University movie. Pick the one that suits your scare style and compete to win a scary awesome prize!

Here's the low-down on the four rival teams:

Roar Omega Roar: Are your scare abilities top notch? Are you the best of the best? Then ROR is where you want to be.

Jaws Theta Chi: JOX are natural born frighters, who love the scare of the game!

Python Nu Kappa: Do you hide your inner monster behind a scarismatic smile? PNK's got the flair to scare!

Oozma Kappa: Don't underestimate these determined underdogs - they've got plenty of heart to take it to the top!
