Card-Jitsu Snow: Guide and Opinions

Card-Jitsu Snow is a Club Penguin mini-game where penguins are able to master the arts of snow. Players strategically move across a board against the snow minions Scrap, Sly, Tank, and ultimately Tusk.

Unique to other Card-Jitsu Games, in Snow you are able to choose to be a Snow, Water, or Fire ninja. Each ninja has it's own attack power and statistics. Below are each ninja in explanation-

Snow Ninja

Snow ninjas have the most range and are able to heal their weakened teammates. I recommend choosing the Snow ninja if you like to help your team be stronger. Snow ninjas do very low damage but are the most agile and have the most range. To heal a teammate using the Snow ninja, click the circled plus above the other ninja if they're in your range. When using power cards, if a Snow ninja singly plays a power card minions in the card's range with be hurt and the teammates within range will be healed. When a Snow ninja and another ninja have a combo, the Snow Ninja will put a protection from one move around all ninjas on the board.

Water Ninja

Water ninjas are the most powerful ninja to choose from. I recommend choosing the Water ninja if you like to be very offensive. Water ninjas move averagely and do the most damage but have very little range. A Water ninja must be directly in front of an enemy to attack. When using power cards, if a Water ninja singly plays a power card minions in range of the card will be hurt. With combos, each ninja on the board will have a whirl pool around them to strengthen their next move.

Fire Ninja

Fire ninjas have the most equally balanced statistics. I recommend the Fire ninja if you like a little bit of everything. Fire ninjas have average agility, damage, and range. When using power cards, if a Fire ninja singly plays a power card minions in range of the card will be weakened and stunned (they will lose a move). With combos, enemies will be burnt and lose health at the end of each round for three rounds since the combo was played.

In Card-Jitsu Snow you face against the powerful minions of Tusk. Sensei once met Tusk as a young penguin. They trained together learning the arts of Card-Jitsu, but one day Tusk betrayed Sensei. In the battle, an avalanche trapped Tusk deep inside a cave and planned for his revenge. In Card-Jitsu Snow you train against Tusk's minions, Sly, Scrap, and Tank until you are ready for Tusk.

Sly

Sly is a powerful snow bowler who will strike you out. Sly uses his long range bowling ball to attack the ninjas. To reduce damage, try to stay close to him; his attacks won't affect you that much from a shorter distance. Up close Sly will do 3 damage, from afar Sly will do 5 damage. Sly is similar to the Snow ninja, he has long range and much agility, but not much strength with his moves.

Scrap

Scrap is a nasty tennis player who will serve you up a good match. Scrap uses his medium range tennis racket to attack the ninjas. Scrap does 8 damage to the targeted player. If you are near the targeted player 4 damage will be done to your health. Scrap is similar to the Fire ninja,  he has medium agility, medium damage, and medium range.

Tank

Tank is a big brute who will whip you into the ground. Tank uses his whip to attack the ninjas. 10 damage will be dealt to any ninja near the targeted ninja. Tank has very little range, move, but powerful damage. It's best to stay at least 2 squares away to avoid damage. Tank is similar to the Water ninja, he has very small agility, range, but very strong damage.

Tusk

Tusk is the main enemy you face in Card-Jitsu Snow. You face Tusk after mastering the arts of Snow and earning your Snow gem on your Card-Jitsu amulet. When inside Tusk's cave, you will battle with another ninja and Sensei against Tusk. Tusk has two different moves; one is he shoots icicles that do 10 damage, and the other is when Tusk lifts up the squares knocking you back towards the entrance of the cave and also does 10 damage to each player. Sensei will do a power move after 2 turns. Tusk has the health of about 4 minions. When you defeat Tusk, clip 9 will play and Tusk will disappear leaving his cape. You will obtain the cape and it will be in your inventory.

We hope all of you will master the arts of Card-Jitsu Snow and defeat the evil Tusk. Any questions? Leave it in the comments below.

Hey penguins. While I was checking out the Club Penguin Blog today, I noticed a new post was made by our friend, Polo Field. This is some important information regarding Card-Jitsu snow beta testing, so be sure to read it-

Thanks to everyone for your help testing Card-Jitsu Snow! We found a bunch of bugs together, and they've all been added to the database for tracking. Nice work, testers!
The test will be ending very soon. Which means you'll only have a bit more time to collect your exclusive rare Snow Beta Hat! Remember, this is the ONLY time this item will be available. Tell your friends to get it while they still can!!
Once the beta test is finished, the team is going to work on some fixes and improvements. We should have the game finished in the next few months. Wish us luck!
Until then... Waddle On!
-Club Penguin Team

Club Penguin even tweeted about it..

That's right! Only a few more days until beta testing will end! If you haven't collected the Snow Beta Hat, click here to get started. I'm not too sure when the test will end, but it will be sometime soon; there is no time to waste! Hey penguins! As you all know, Card-Jitsu Snow is certain to release online sometime soon. Well, in Club Penguin magazine issue #16, we have proof that the Medieval Party will not be returning this May! Instead, it will be replaced by the release of Card-Jitsu Snow.

Well, that's great news for all you penguins out there that absolutely hate this party. In other news, we finally have a date for when Card-Jitsu Snow will be released! I have no clue if the Medieval Party will occur in another month of this year, so we'll just have to wait and see. What do you think about this exciting news?

Club Penguin Blog: Card-Jitsu Snow Beta Test - On Now!

Today while I was browsing through the Club Penguin Blog, I noticed Polo Field made a new post involving Card-Jitsu Snow. In the post, he is letting us know that we can beta test Card-Jitsu Snow - right now! (Even though we already knew that.) Let's take a look at what he had to say-

Hey penguins,
We want to send out a HUGE thank you to everyone who has participated in the Card-Jitsu Snow Beta Test so far! We can't even tell you how great it is to have ninjas playing the game. And we've got tons of awesome feedback already.

We want everyone to get involved. If you haven't played yet, or if you're ready to battle again, go to our beta site now. This is a rare opportunity to test CP content before it's released, so make sure to get in on the action!
And tell us what you like best about playing Card-Jitsu Snow
Waddle On, ninjas
-Club Penguin Team

Club Penguin Blog: Card-Jitsu Snow Beta - Play Now!

While I was looking through the Club Penguin Blog today, I noticed Polo Field made a new post. His post is telling us that we can finally beta test Card-Jitsu Snow! Check out what he had to say about it-

Hey penguins,

It's HERE!!! The moment we've all been waiting for (drum roll please).... the Card-Jitsu Snow Beta Test is LIVE!!!

You can now log in to the Club Penguin beta site to play a work-in-progress version of Card-Jitsu Snow. There are still some kinks to iron out in the game, so don't be surprised if some things look weird or unexpected. That's why we need you!

The point of a beta test is to get as many players testing the game as possible, so we can find (and fix) bugs.

Here are a few bugs we know about already:
  • #1062 - Orange moderator ban error message appears when too many players quit mid-game - Don't worry! You're not getting banned!
  • #1082 - Missing automatic disconnect when server fails in matchmaking - Teaming up should only take 3 minIf your wait is longer, tap the X button and enter the game again
  • #503 - Animation glitch appears in upper left corner during game - This is only showing up on some computers and doesn't affect gameplay.

Thanks so much for your help everyone. Testing is one of the most important parts of making a game, and we're so glad you're part of it!

Until then... Waddle On!

- Club Penguin Team
Most of us already knew beta testing for Card-Jitsu Snow launched. If you haven't, then head to beta.clubpenguin.com to get started! The game does have a few glitches here and there, but that's what is supposed to happen. It is a beta test, so it is guaranteed you'll see something odd happening. When you do, click 'I found a bug!' at the top of beta.clubpenguin.com. Reporting these bugs will help make the game better in the long run. What do you think of this post Polo Field made? What do you think of Card-Jitsu Snow? Let us know by leaving a comment!

Club Penguin Card-Jitsu Snow: Power Cards

Club Penguin author, Polo Field, recently made posted regarding upcoming Card-Jistu Snow. The imagery within the post shows a participate holding decorative "power cards". A playing table seems to be slightly visible, as it is almost completely blurred from our vision. * As of now, we can theorize penguins will be able to use teamwork strategies with other penguins on a playing board using Card-Jistu cards to advance forward and defeat the opponents.

Ninjas,

As you know, the Card-Jitsu Snow Beta Test is coming soon! Until now, we haven't put up any details about the game - we don't want to ruin the surprise!

But we DO want you to be ready for battle. So here's a hint: you're going to want Power Cards

In fact, Power Cards will be the ONLY cards you're using in Card-Jitsu Snow.

How do you think the game's going to work? Leave a comment below.

Waddle On!
-Club Penguin Team

Card-Jitsu Snow looks so much fun! I can't wait to hear more information about it and beta test.

Club Penguin Blog: Where's The Snow Dojo?

Hey penguins! While I was looking through the Club Penguin blog today, I noticed Polo Field made a new post! The post brings up a popular topic: Card-Jitsu Snow. Polo wants to hear from us where we think the Snow Dojo will be!

Hey ninjas,
Alright! You know the Card-Jitsu Snow Beta Test is coming. You know Snow Ninjas will be teaming up with Fire Ninjas and Water Ninjas. And you know that together, you'll be going up against dangerous villains: ScrapTank, and Sly
So now the question is: where's the battle going to be?
Tell us where YOU think the Snow Dojo will be and what it'll be like!

Waddle On!
- Club Penguin Team
That's a good question! Where will the Snow Dojo be? Personally, I think it will be somewhere on the tallest mountain, but what do you think? I can't wait to beta test Card-Jitsu Snow, and I can't wait to become a Snow Ninja! Are you excited about all these upcoming events? Leave a comment and let me know!
